Yael Hassan
Yaël Hassan is a French writer born in Paris in 1952. She spent her youth in Belgium until 1966, when she returned to France. She didn't stay long, however, as she moved to Israel with her family in 1970. Later, she returned to France in 1984, settling in Paris. In 1996, Yaël Hassan was involved in a car accident that left her immobilized for a long period. Following this, she participated in a children's literature competition organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. She submitted her novel, *Un grand-père tombé du ciel* (A Grandfather Who Fell from the Sky). This book was published in 1997 by Casterman and established Yaël Hassan as a children's author.
