Corinne Albaut
After studying English and teaching for three years, including one in England, Corinne Albaut began writing nursery rhymes and songs for children after the birth of her first son.
She has recorded eight albums of nursery rhymes as a singer-songwriter, written for several children's magazines (Pommed'Api, Les Belles Histoires, Toboggan, Perlin…) and currently works for Bayard, Actes Sud Junior, Les Éditions du Patrimoine, Casterman, Gulf Stream éditeur and Syros.
She also wrote cookbooks in the "À table!" collection.
She published "Mal à ma mère" (Les parents de Mélie) - Prix Octogone 2002 - under the name Clara Vidal.
In addition, Corinne Albaut frequently visits schools, libraries and book fairs to meet her readers. Corinne Albaut has published more than 120 children's books, including numerous collections of nursery rhymes, her specialty (Actes Sud Junior, Casterman, Bayard, Hachette, Belin, Naïve…).
A former English teacher, she has always appreciated the charm of "nursery rhymes" and the impertinence of "limericks".
She lives in Paris.
