Rachel Hausfater (who at one time signed under her married name Rachel Hausfater-Douieb) is a French author of children's literature.

Her adolescence was tumultuous and led her to travel the world for several years in search of… she still doesn't know what. She lived in Germany, the United States, and Israel.

After working in a wide variety of professions, she finally turned to teaching. She is an English teacher at a middle school in Bobigny and lives in Paris.

She has published several dozen books, including novels for teenagers and children, and picture books.
