Emmanuelle Halgand
Emmanuelle Halgand is a children's author and illustrator.
After studying Art History at Rennes 2 University, graphic design and the sociology of cultural audiences at the University of Rouen-Normandie, she has devoted herself for about ten years to the creation and facilitation of book mediation workshops.
In 2013, she experimented with the links between children's picture books and philosophical initiation in elementary school as part of a master's degree in audience development at the University of Rouen and signed her first picture books: "The Journey of the Elephants" (2015) and "The Little Marmot Who Didn't Want to Sleep" (2016) published by Magellan & cie as well as "The Delights of Mr. Fernand" (2015) published by éditions du mercredi.
She also created the illustrations for "La lumière de Bouchka" (2017) based on a text by Rachel Hausfater published by Éditions du mercredi and for the album "Dans les longs cheveux de maman" (2017) written by Ingrid Chabbert.
Today, she continues to pursue both creation and research in parallel.
She lives and works in Rouen.
